Free Initial Consultation

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation to help us decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

This brief meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. You can ask any questions you may have about how I work, what to expect from sessions, or how counselling might support you.

There is no obligation to continue after this consultation — it’s simply an opportunity for you to explore whether working together feels comfortable and supportive.

The consultation takes place online via Google Meet, and we can arrange a time that suits you.

My Approach

Every therapist works differently. Here's what you can expect when working with me. My practice is rooted primarily in humanistic and relational approaches, which means I see you as a whole person — not a problem to be fixed. I pay close attention to what happens between us in the therapy space. The way you experience the relationship here (such as feeling understood, hesitant, safe, or uncertain) can itself become an important part of the work. These moments often help us understand patterns in how you relate to others and to yourself outside of therapy. I also draw on elements of Psychodynamic Therapy, which can help us understand how past experiences may be shaping your present, and CBT, which offers practical tools to gently shift unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.

In our work together, we might gently explore your past to understand how your experiences have shaped who you are today. This can help you recognise patterns, uncover strengths, and open up the possibility to choose new ways of responding.

Looking at the present

We create space to notice what is happening for you now—your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the challenges you are currently facing.

Looking towards the future

As our understanding grows, we can begin exploring what matters most to you and how you would like your life to move forward.

What therapy with me is like

Therapy with me is not about having all the answers.

You don't need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before we meet.

We will work at your pace, making space for curiosity, reflection, and honest conversations.

My role isn't to tell you how to live your life. Instead, I hope to offer a space where you feel safe enough to explore your experiences, discover what matters most to you, and find a way forward that feels authentic.

Sometimes our sessions may feel gentle and supportive; at other times they may invite challenge and growth. Throughout the process, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, and understood.
